When words are spoken and written, after a thousand years their merit and value is clear. Some of that wisdom should become a part of us. I'm reading Meditations and was struck by this offering early in my read, "Concentrate every minute like a Roman — like a man — on doing what’s in front of you with precise and genuine seriousness, tenderly, willingly, with justice. And on freeing yourself from all other distractions.
