It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, December 14, 2021

The lights are on and twinkling just the way we like. People are talking about the beauty of it all especially on Yorkville Avenue and Niagara Falls just an hour's drive from Toronto's west end. 2021 has been a better year that 2020. Most of us have been vaccinated twice and some thrice against the ravages of Covid-19. I don't know anyone who has perished from this horrid Pandemic. But sadly, our beautiful sister Joan passed away on April 23, 2021 after suffering too much from cancer of the lungs and seven ribs.  Because of government issued restrictions we couldn't be together until August 14, 2021 to have a mass and gathering of friends and family expressing our feelings for the love and good will that Joan gave to all of us and those she held dear to her heart.

We are a few days away from plans that will take some away to West Palm Beach in Florida and a lovely time with family. We will spend Christmas Eve with friends at the Prince of Wales a wonderful hotel in Niagara-On-The-Lake. I expect some snow and Christmas Carols in the street sung by the folks who live in this tranquil village. We'll walk and talk in the midst of all of this splendid atmosphere. Our friends are Roy and Jackie, and Steve and Ruth who love these moments as much as Terryl and me.

And then to Montreal on a train December 30 and the Residence Inn Marriott Hotel in downtown Montreal with Greg, Marie-Lou, Ben, Nathan, Thomas and Sara-Lena to bring in The New Year.

[December 21, 2021 Our trip to Montreal has been cancelled due to the Covid-19 variant named Omicron which has taken over as the number one Covid infection at around 60% of all hospitalized sufferers now--most are unvaccinated individuals which is proving the point to all who have denied the reality of vaccine benefits.]
