As you see it was a magnificent evening to view the moon when it reaches the closest point to Earth during its fullest phase. They call it Supermoon. About 25% of all full moons are Supermoons but only about 3% of full moons are blue moons.
Terryl and I went out to our balcony to witness this beautiful sight at 22:30 and took a few pictures with this amazing iPhone 14 pro camera. And then I lingered for an additional hour to record numerous additional photographs to add to the collection; and I proceeded to crop and enhance our pictures making them worthy of publishing on amcpir.blogspot.com where they just might catch the eye of one who revels in the art of Photography.
On September 4, 2023 we were at the Brampton Golf Club swinging a few practice turns on the driving range. I knew that the Championships were taking place; additionally two very gifted amateurs were playing 36 Holes to determine the Men's Champion Trophy winner. Gary Parker and Russell Bowie where on their 23rd hole when I felt I could take a photo or two and include them in this post:

After 36 Holes on a fairly hot day Gary Parker at 62 years of age out gunned Russell Bowie at 29 years of age in their Match Play Final with a score of 3 up with 1 hole to play. I think that many of my vintage and twenty years younger were happy about the outcome. Please don't misunderstand me, I believe that our membership, young and old, think Russell is a great guy who has lifted our club championship a few times and certainly earned and deserved his wins. But, Parker is just one of those guys that says hello to everyone just as he hits almost every shot on the sweet spot, and unfortunately for all of us at Brampton Golf Club has retired from his work and will be leaving our area for a retirement home with his wife in the Niagara district of Southern Ontario. We will certainly miss him but expect he'll do the same in his new environment and at his next golf club he'll start off as a champion.
