A LEXUS RX350H AWD finds a way to make it home April 29, 2024

On April 29, 2024 Terryl and I had the pleasure of taking another car home from Erin Park Lexus in Mississauga. I met Abdul Ramadan (pictured above) first in December of 1998 and purchased a new ES350 Lexus Sedan from him. That experience, I recall, was one of supreme excellence delivered by Abdul and his fellow customer service people at Erin Park Lexus. After three years of perfect performance and 100% reliability I returned the car and bought another new one from Abdul and his support people. In the years to follow we repeated the process every three years. When Abdul greets me when returning my vehicle for routine maintenance he always has a great smile and a sturdy handshake and says, "It's a great pleasure to see you Mr. McDonald. Have you got a moment to chat?" And we usually do. He insists on calling me Mr. McDonald with a generous smile at all times. 
After 26 years nothing has changed: the reliability of the car and the performance of Abdul and the support staff is better than I could ever need or expect.
The 2024 RX350H AWD has surprising newly-minted features. I always marvel at the changes that Lexus makes to their automobiles. This year is no exception--Terryl loves how the doors open at a light touch from the inside panel. I use the voice response system to change the radio station, the temperature and on and on. I read the manuals from front to back on all four of them. I can't believe Lexus has forgotten any possibility of concern. Who was it that said, "One can imagine that many bad things in life can happen, but know this, most never do."

    Abdul called me--after he posted the above comment--while Terryl and me were driving to Costco. We had a wonderful conversation focused on our mutual admiration with Terryl adding significantly to the conversation. Thank you Abdul

Shawinigan February 22 - 25, 2020

It's a lovely winter morning in Toronto and I'm booked on AC498 to Montreal at 15:30 where I'll meet Greg and drive to Shawinigan for a long weekend. He is picking me up in Montreal instead of Quebec because he's dropping David Hogg and family at the Montreal airport. The Hogg family have had a rough time in that Peter (the father) passed away recently and his wife has been in the hospital for two months. David is Greg's high school friend that has remained constant and a realty for thirty-five years now. The other two who made the group, 'Sci Guys' are Chris living in British Columbia and Meek who lives in Toronto.  I believe I'll see Ben and Sarah this weekend as well, but not Nathan, who at seventeen years is also living and schooling in Montreal. Azamara Cruise Nov 30, 2022 --December 30, 2022

High above Rio de Janeiro                                     (August 25, 2022) We have not been on an aeroplane for almost three years--all caused by the sting of Covid 19. We are booked and enthusiastically writing three months before embarkation from Lisbon, Portugal. Booking our stay in Lisbon for four nights and either Rio or São Paulo, Brazil for four nights is next on the to-do list. Additionally, the insurance for medical and/or trip interruption will be required.  We'll be talking about the following itinerary; arriving  via Air Canada in Lisbon, Portugal on November 26 at 06:00 with a taxi to our hotel. After several days of seeing the sites we taxi to Azamara's Pursuit ship and leave Lisbon on November 30. We arrive at Funchal, Madeira,  Portugal on December 1, and then on to La Palma, Canary Islands on December 3,  and then to Tenerife, Canary Islands on December 4 for two  days.
